Explore the Heart of Our Buddhist Community
Our Sangha has been meeting continuously since 2008 when it was assembled by four individuals who understood that the teachings of Engaged Buddhism as transmitted by Thich Nhat Hanh in the Plum Village Tradition was a key element to addressing the suffering, and being present with the job, that is in life. Over the years, our Sangha has grown to meeting multiple times per week with opportunities to practice in a diversity of methods. The connecting thread of our practice is Engaged Buddhism, as articulated by Thich Nhat Hanh and other Buddhist teachers.
We are lay led by sangha members, who bring their individual life experiences and Buddhist practice to each session, be it a Saturday morning meeting, a Saturday evening walking meditation, or a Monday evening Zoom only meeting.
We recognize each of us has value and worth. We allow the space for each person to live their life as they understand it. Sangha practice is both beautiful and joyful while also being difficult and challenging. Importantly, you do not need to know much about Buddhism to participate in our Sangha, just a curiosity to learn is all you need.
We invite you to look at some of the listed resources to get more acquainted with what we do, and offer you. And join us to see what you might like!
